Ingrid Siss

Ingrid Siss, social psychologist graduated from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, UERJ, with a postgraduate degree in Education and Human Rights from Pontific Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, PUC-RJ. For more than 10 years, he has worked to advocate for issues related to youth, having played important roles at a strategic level in the third sector and in public management, 

 

At the age of 25, he founded Casa Dona Amélia, an institution dedicated to citizen care and socio-emotional care for children, young people and women in Cidade de Deus. A space that continuously supported more than 300 families during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, she was invited to join the team of the Special Secretariat for Youth in Rio de Janeiro – JuvRio, coordinating important projects aimed at training young people in the City of Rio de Janeiro. 

 

Between 2021 and 2023, he coordinated the Pact for Youth, a project resulting from the international cooperation agreement signed between the Special Secretariat for Youth Carioca – JuvRio and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO. Being responsible for managing 3 editions of the project, where more than 1200 young people were trained in the areas of culture, sport, sustainability and technology. Still in the Pact for Youth, he coordinated the carrying out of territorial research focusing on communities and favelas in the City of Rio de Janeiro, where socioeconomic data and conditions of access to culture and leisure, environmental and technological security of 6000 residents of 45 territories were mapped. 

 

In 2023, he was part of Brazil's official delegation, during the Y20 Summit 2023 held in Varanasi, India, representing the delegation in discussions held in the peacebuilding thematic group. After participating in the event, he formed the working group responsible for preparing the technical document that guided the execution planning of Y20 Brazil 2024. 

He currently serves as Co-chair at Y20 Brasil 2024, and at the same time coordinates the Community's youth mobilization Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) in Rio de Janeiro. In this second, being responsible for building the proposal for action and monitoring the impacts of the Youth Council with a focus on producing systemic changes that favor the entry of young people into the world of work.
